Maurice Richard
Maurice "Rocket" Richard, born in 1921, was one of the greatest goal-scorers in NHL history. Playing his entire career with the Montreal Canadiens, he was the first player to score 50 goals in 50 games and helped lead the Canadiens to eight Stanley Cup championships. His fiery play, unmatched goal-scoring ability, and leadership made him an icon in Quebec and across the hockey world. The NHL's top goal-scorer award, the Rocket Richard Trophy, is named in his honor.
