Robert Reichel was a skilled playmaker and goal scorer in the NHL, best known for his time with the Calgary Flames, New York Islanders, and Toronto Maple Leafs. He also had a highly successful international career, captaining the Czech Republic to gold at the 1998 Winter Olympics.

Kristian Reichel, son of Robert, has played professionally in the AHL and NHL. He signed with the Winnipeg Jets organization and is known for his strong two-way play and work ethic.
